Andrew and Lisa were holidaying in the Bahamas back in May 2017, when Andrew executed the perfect proposal. They had a delicious dinner at Gordon’s on the Pier, followed by watching the sun go down, listing to a glorious singer. That’s when Andrew surprised everyone by popping the big question. The rest of the evening involved champagne and celebrations with the rest of the guests.
The happy couple decided to return to the gorgeous Caribbean for their extra special wedding day. This time they chose Sandals Grande St Lucian, to explore an island they haven’t been to before and showcase the best of the best Caribbean hospitality to their guests.
While planning their sun-soaked big day, the couple found out that they would sharing the most important day of their lives with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Andrew and Lisa revealed: “we were so excited when we found out that we would be sharing our day with the royals. We even wrote to The Queen and got a response expressing her joy about our wedding date choice.”
On the day, the happy couple said their vows with views of the Caribbean Sea. Lisa opted for an off-the-shoulder wedding dress, showing off her collarbones just like Meghan did in her gown designed by Clare Waight Keller.
Taking inspiration from the vibrant location, the couple opted for a punchy fuchsia theme – with colour details chosen for the bouquet, buttonhole and Andrew's tie.
This Caribbean celebration might have been miles away from the Royal nuptials in Windsor, but they will share something very special with Harry and Meghan forever – the chosen date in which they became happily married couples!
