Real wedding: A rustic alpine themed wedding day in the Austrian alps
The couple designed their own wedding stationery, creating a cute logo with a stag on it, and it wasn't the only deer that appeared on the day - they also had a cute deer cake topper atop their naked wedding cake.
Lorenza lived a lifelong dream, wearing a pretty floral crown, created from the same flowers that appeared on their wedding stationery.

The Austrian wedding venue
Lorenza and Roy met in Salzburg in 2010, so it was a natural choice to hold their wedding there, with Hotel Zistelalm on the Gaisberg mountain as their venue of choice.<br /><br />"It was a place we had one of our first dates, and it has stunning views over Salzburg town and the surroundings, so it's simply perfect," says Lorenza. <br /><br />They held their ceremony outside, but it was touch and go as the mountain was soaked in rain the morning of the wedding, before the sky cleared into a beautiful sunny day.
The wedding arch
Lorenza and Roy decorated their <a href="http://www.youandyourwedding.co.uk/planning/venues/ideas-for-outdoor-and-woodland-weddings/20535.html" target="_self">outdoor wedding</a> with this <a href="http://www.youandyourwedding.co.uk/ideas/mood-boards/19-wedding-arches-to-inspire-your-big-day-decor/22709.html" target="_self">gorgeous wedding arch</a>, and cute Mr and Mrs wooden signs on their chairs.
The pink and green colour scheme
Lorenza and Ray went for a bottle green and fuchsia pink colour scheme, which also appeared on the invitations, which Lorenza designed herself.<br /><br />"We chose a little antler graphic with roses, peonies, berries and greenery over the top, creating a rustic and nature inspired theme," says Lorenza.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.youandyourwedding.co.uk/planning/stationery/stylish-stationery-ideas-for-unique-couples/22738.html" target="_self">READ MORE: Stylish Stationery Ideas for Unique Couples</a>
The bridal bouquet
"Our clever florists, <a href="https://www.facebook.com/duftrose.at" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Duftrose</a> brought the colour scheme to the next level by using the same flowers from the stationery in my bouquet, and even in my flower crown," shares Lorenza. <br /><br />Check out our gallery of <a href="http://www.youandyourwedding.co.uk/planning/flowers/bright-and-colourful-wedding-flowers-for-your-big-day/22936.html" target="_self">colourful bridal bouquets</a> for more bold, bridal blooms.
The flower crown
"I'd always wanted to wear a flower crown," says Lorenza. "It fitted the rustic and natural style we wanted for the wedding."<br /><br /><a href="http://www.youandyourwedding.co.uk/dresses-and-style/shoes-and-accessories/beautiful-bridal-flower-garlands/18654.html" target="_self">READ MORE: Beautiful bridal flower garlands</a>
The wedding dress
Lorenza wore a <a href="https://www.jlmcouture.com/Tara-Keely" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Tara Keely</a> wedding dress purchased from <a href="http://hannahelizabethbridal.com" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Hannah Elizabeth Bridal</a> in Hampshire.<br /><br />"It was the first dress I ever tried on, I had a huge lump in my throat and instantly knew it was the one," says Lorenza.
Green bridesmaid dresses
The bridesmaids all wore knee-length bottle <a href="http://www.youandyourwedding.co.uk/dresses-and-style/bridesmaids-flowergirls/gorgeous-green-bridesmaid-dresses/19624.html" target="_self">green bridesmaid dresses</a>, purchased from <a href="https://prettykittyfashion.co.uk/?gclid=Cj0KCQjw_7HdBRDPARIsAN_ltcIS2fzz1nErorZjBIFDFpAsZzd-MMvG6cRgD12grOqgiBff12ctm7waAr9jEALw_wcB" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Pretty Kitty Fashion</a>. <br /><br /><br />
Roy went for a <a href="http://www.youandyourwedding.co.uk/dresses-and-style/grooms/charming-rustic-wedding-suits-for-the-groom/22386.html" target="_self">rustic groom look</a>, wearing beige chinos from Tommy Hilfiger and a smart tailored tweed waist coat from <a href="http://bespokebybentley.co.uk" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Bentleys</a>, a tailor in Portsmouth. <br /><br />"He decided against a traditional suit, and his outfit fitted the wedding theme perfectly," says Lorenza.
Rustic wedding table decorations
To fit the alpine surroundings, Lorenza and Roy went for table decor of wood and wild flowers.<br /><br />Each table was adorned with wooden lanterns, and lace and cord jars filled with wild flowers and tea lights.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.youandyourwedding.co.uk/planning/essentials/wedding-table-decorations-and-centre-pieces-25-interesting-ways-to-dress-up-your-tables/22128.html" target="_self">READ MORE: Wedding table decorations and centre pieces: 25 interesting ways to dress up your tables</a><br /><br /><br />

The confetti was made entirely of petals, and was stored in paper cups make from rolled up note sheets.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.youandyourwedding.co.uk/planning/essentials/wedding-confetti-the-low-down/22117.html" target="_self">READ MORE: The lowdown on wedding confetti</a>
The naked wedding cake
The <a href="http://www.youandyourwedding.co.uk/planning/cakes/lovely-naked-wedding-cakes-for-your-big-day/22192.html" target="_self">naked wedding cake</a> was made by <a href="https://www.nf-bbk.at" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Backe Backe Kuchen</a> in Salzburg, and was decorated with flowers and berries. <br /><br />The top tier was lemon flavoured, the middle was vanilla blueberry and the bottom was chocolate.<br /><br />"I tasked a school friend with creating us a cake topper," shares Lorenza. "She built us the sweetest deer and stag, complete with bunting, little trees and bushes. It went so well with our alpine theme."<br /><br /><a href=" http://www.youandyourwedding.co.uk/planning/cakes/the-best-wedding-cake-toppers-for-your-big-day/20360.html" target="_self">READ MORE: The best wedding cake toppers for your big day</a>
The most memorable part of the day
"The memory of sitting next to Roy after I walked down the aisle is something I will always remember," says Lorenza.<br /><br />"The sun was warm on our skin, there was the beautiful smell of the mountain fields, the humming noise of the bees and birds chirping around us. I will never forget that moment."
Planning advice for other couples
"If you are thinking of having a destination wedding, ask yourself if you are able to live with the fact you cannot control everything," says Lorenza.<br /><br />"It also means you can hardly do any DIY if you're travelling by plane as you have limited space. But it's all worth it in the end and guests love an excuse for a little holiday."<br /><br /><a href="http://www.youandyourwedding.co.uk/real-weddings/destination/destination-i-do-how-to-plan-an-overseas-wedding/21510.html" target="_self">READ MORE: Destination "I do": How to plan an overseas wedding</a>
The best money saving idea
"We didn't get too hung up on decorations," shares Lorenza.<br /><br />"With things like Pinterest it's so easy to get carried away, but you can end up spending a lot of money in things you'll only see or use for one day, and they're not what your guests will remember of the day."<br /><br /><a href="http://www.youandyourwedding.co.uk/planning/essentials/incredibly-clever-ways-to-save-money-on-your-wedding/22180.html" target="_self">READ MORE: Incredibly Clever Ways to Save Money on your Wedding</a>
