Real Wedding: A Whimsical Day at Syon Park with Alice In Wonderland Inspiration
Lauren wore a gorgeous bespoke wedding dress, while Tim looked dapper in black tie attire.
They served a decadent three course meal, along with Champagne, Pimms and juices, and delighted guests with an acoustic live band for the drinks reception and fire dancers to get the party atmosphere going.

The wedding ceremony
Lauren and Tim held their wedding ceremony and reception at Syon Park in London.

"I originally wanted a cosmopolitan London wedding venue, but when we saw Syon Park we immediately fell in love with the grandeur and stunning conservatory and gardens," explains Lauren.

"The ceremony room was so grand we didn't need to add a lot of decoration to bring it to life," Lauren says. "We had an enchanted forest theme for the day, so we added six beautiful white cherry blossom trees which created a magical archway over the aisle."
The enchanted forest theme
"We didn't want a rigid colour scheme, instead we had a country garden theme that transitioned into an enchanted forest in the evening," says Lauren.

"We used a selection of pastel shades, creating a romantic and whimsical look."

"It was an outside in theme, with Alice in Wonderland additions."

"My favourite decorations were the whimsical table centre pieces. They were seven foot asymmetric trees with a selection of pastel flowers, creating a magical canopy over the tables, finished off with hanging tea lights."

The flowers were all created by Wild About.
The wedding flowers
"The flowers were by far our biggest expenditure," admits Lauren. "I was determined to fill the venue with beautiful arrangements and told Tim I was going to blow the budget on flowers - this did not impress him!"

READ MORE: Wedding table decorations and centre pieces: 25 interesting ways to dress up your tables
The escort cards
The table displaying the escort cards was adorned with moss and flowers, for a vintage Alice in Wonderland vibe.
The bespoke wedding dress
Lauren wore a bespoke fishtail wedding dress, created by Sophie from Elizabeth Todd in London.

"I had a very clear idea of what I wanted my dress to look like, so I went down the bespoke route and with Sophie's creative input, we brought my vision to life," explains Lauren.

The bridesmaids wore lilac Monique Lhuillier dresses, purchased from Les Trois Soeurs.

READ MORE: Pretty Purple Bridesmaid Dresses
The wedding cake
The wedding cake, created by Victoria Made, was four tiers tall, and decorated with sugar flowers that matched the bouquets.
Advice for other couples
"Don't feel you have to stick to the traditional wedding day format," says Lauren.

"We had our speeches during our drinks reception, as we had some nervous speakers. They got the speeches out of the way so they could enjoy the meal, drinks and party that followed."
