I cannot believe its so close for us now! I feel like with the royal wedding you can’t get away from the countdown!

Sound like your really organised. I am sure if your taking the dog to somewhere friends have recommended that she will be fine but I know what you mean about the thought of it.

Im having my last day of work today, wish I had finished last week but so excited now!!

MrsDivine you can do it! I did my brother's wedding using Triangle nursery, I received and conditioned on Thursday, arranged on Friday, went to another wedding on the Saturday and they were perfect on the Sunday for my brother's wedding!

Ooh I’ve just read your whole thread, I thought I’d commented before but couldn’t see anything. Wow! Everything looks amazing. The venue, the location, Those lanterns and your dress! The mix up at the bridal shop was awful but you look stunning in your dress. The cake is beautiful, such a pretty colour. I’m in Devon  and it looks like the sun will be shining for you on Saturday.

Almost the big day -I'm so excited for you!

I had my SUV professionally cleaned last fall and completely agree, it's money well spent! After a hard winter, I will be taking it back in soon to have it done again.  A clean vehicle is addicting!

Your choice of flowers sounds beautiful. You have plenty of time so it should be a manageable job.  The brides that struggle are the ones that wait until the last minute.  Don't forget to enlist someone for the day-of transport and set-up of your flowers so you don't have to worry about it.

Bridezilla

Thank you all so much. The flowers are having a long drink - it was such a hot day when they were delivered but they are looking perkier now thankfully.

VegasLou  I have six umbrellas at the ready and have waterproofed the lanterns but checking the weather app on my phone  often and hardly dare  believe the forecast !

KittyFiennes I'm taking them myself on Friday, I have been gradually collecting all the packing materials I will need for the short journey there (I just need to keep off the brakes!) and the hotel have a cool, dim room for me to store them in. They will then put them out for me. The owners attention to detail has been so reassuring that I am quite confident they will be well looked after.

MrsCToBee thank you for the reassurance. It is the time element which was worrying me. However now that they are here I can't wait to get started arranging. They do need the full 24hrs for conditioning though as it was very warm for their journey here so I will have to cool my boots until this afternoon.

MrsGtoB I really hope it does all come together - can't wait to get started on Thursday to see if it all works in reality!

Lexi90 - Here we both go ...

So exciting that you're only days away - I can't wait to see how all the beautiful things you've been gathering/making/planning come together!

I feel your pain on the car clean - years of dogs, valet companies change me double...  Nice to have a clean car though, might have to do the same for our wedding journey up to Scotland (though the dogs will be in the car anyway...)

Bridezilla

I was lucky that my flower delivery came early morning, so by the next morning they were good to go! Your urns are going to be so beautiful.

I made the seating chart a few days ago and it just didn't work. So having spent a couple of nights looking at it across the sitting room, it just looked so very plain. So last night I took emergency action with fake roses and ivy. I'm really not sure about it, I think it is perhaps a little twee, at worst I wonder if it looks like it should be in an Italian restaurant! However it is what it is because I am out of time.

It looks lovely, not twee at all! You have a real artistic eye for things.

Been reading your thread and wish you all the best on this lovely day!

Bridezilla

So glad you had a fab day mrsdivine!

Will you be doing a wedding report? I'd love to see how your wedding came together because the individual details were all so beautiful and well thought out.

I can’t leave my planning thread unfinished ...

So in the last three days pre-wedding I had the cake to finish, the flowers to arrange and the church and reception rooms to decorate.
The cake had three dummy tiers which were put on top of the real cake bottom tier, a rich chocolate cake with ganache filling, which I had made and frozen a month before. I also made a lemon drizzle with curd and cream filling sheet bake which was iced in the same colour and would be served alongside the chocolate cake.
I did the flower arrangements in the 10 silver rose bowls for the wedding breakfast table. I made 3 large arrangements for the church windows and 3 smaller arrangements for the alter and the shelves behind the alter.  Lastly I made the 11 pew ends.  We hung 28 paper lanterns over the church path and hung the flower garland above the church door.

In the Cove room (for the evening reception) we strung up 105 metres of fairy lights (1000 bulbs) there were 75 paper lanterns to hang and 75 led lights to hang in each. 48 clear baubles to be filled with confetti and an led tea light to be put in each. The four large ivory curtains needed to be hung to cover the junk stored behind the arches. We did this on the Thursday and between the two of us it actually didn't take too long.
The outside area was decorated with just paper luminiere bags with a couple of flickering led tea lights in each, which lined the path to the pod.
