What Will Carole Middleton Wear To Pippa's Wedding?
Carole's no stranger to rocking a pretty jacket at a wedding - her powder blue coat from <a href="http://www.youandyourwedding.co.uk/ideas/celebrity-inspiration/kate-middletons-wedding-dress/3860.html" target="_self">Kate's big day</a> is still one of our favourite mother of the bride looks ever! This gorgeous <a href="https://www.hobbs.co.uk/the-palace-collection/shop" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Hobbs</a> piece is part of their Palace Collection, which is inspired by three prominent 18th century princesses – Caroline, Augusta and Charlotte – and their passion for botany and nature. A subtle nod to royalty with a £299 price tag - we think this would be perfect for Mrs Middleton.
Word on the street is that Pippa wants her guests to <a href="http://www.youandyourwedding.co.uk/ideas/celebrity-inspiration/pippa-middletons-wedding-guest-rule-will-surprise-you/22413.html" target="_self">bring a second outfit for the reception</a>, and if this really is the case then we think Carole could opt for a bit of sparkle for dress number two. This floor-length embellished gown from <a href="http://www.jasminebridal.com/product_detail.asp?hidP_kind=MOB&hidP_style=COUTURE&hidj_line_order=1&hidP_Style_ID=K198008" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Jade Couture at Jasmine</a> is mother of the bride glamour at it's finest.
At the Royal Wedding, Carole wore a knee length dress and jacket, but as the weather will (hopefully!) be a little warmer for Pippa's May celebration we think she might choose something slightly lighter. This cropped jacket and dress combo is super flattering and perfect for a Spring wedding.<br /><br />For more mother of the bride inspiration - <a href="http://www.youandyourwedding.co.uk/dresses-and-style/mother-of-the-bride/mother-of-the-bride-outfit-ideas/20549.html" target="_self">click here.</a>
This Ian Stewart dress might seem a little dramatic compared to Carole's previous choices, but as she won't be under strict instructions from the Royals about what she can and can't wear this time, it could be a style thats on her radar. It would look fab with a pretty hat or <a href="http://www.youandyourwedding.co.uk/dresses-and-style/shoes-and-accessories/15-best-high-street-headbands-and-fascinators/21890.html" target="_self">fascinator</a> to add some extra drama to the look.
Dress Code by Veromia
You can't go wrong with neutrals, and this lovely outfit from <a href="http://veromia.co.uk/Dress-Code.html" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Dress Code by Veromia</a> is a timeless choice that we're sure the Middleton's would approve of.
Catherine Walker & Co
We already know that Carole's a fan of <a href="https://www.catherinewalker.com" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Catherine Walker & Co</a> following her Royal Wedding choice, so whose to say that she won't opt for it again? This fabulous coat dress is the perfect example of how to wear <a href="http://www.youandyourwedding.co.uk/dresses-and-style/mother-of-the-bride/mother-of-the-bride-outfit-ideas/20549.html" target="_self">mother of the bride outfits</a> without feeling frumpy or dated. It's chic, creates a stunning silhouette and would be perfect for the Middleton-Matthews nuptials.
Another dress that we think would work perfectly post-outfit change for Carole is this textured, emerald number from <a href="https://www.coast-stores.com/p/maya-jacquard-dress/1809045" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Coast</a>. It's sophisticated with a touch of party, which will be perfect considering her future son-in-laws family (James' brother and suspected best man is former Made in Chelsea star Spencer Matthews).
Diane Von Furstenburg at Net a Porter
A deeper shade of blue than Carole's previous choices, we believe this <a href="https://www.net-a-porter.com/gb/en/product/855362/diane_von_furstenberg/ruffled-satin-wrap-maxi-dress" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Diane Von Furstenburg gown from Net a Porter</a> could be a potential pick for one of the biggest weddings of the year. This of course will depend on whether <a href="http://www.youandyourwedding.co.uk/ideas/celebrity-inspiration/pippa-middletons-wedding-dress-our-predictions/22415.html" target="_self">Pippa picks a slinky number too</a>, as mother and daughter matches don't tend to be a popular look!<br /><br />For more wedding etiquette - <a href="http://www.youandyourwedding.co.uk/dresses-and-style/guests/etiquette-guide-wedding-guest-dress-code-explained/21801.html" target="_self">click here</a>. <br />
One of the frontrunners in our predictions for Carole's outfit on May 20th is this beautiful outfit from mother of the bride maestro <a href="http://www.johncharles.co.uk/product/26302a/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">John Charles</a>. It would look fabulous with Carole's dark hair, whilst the hat is a real showstopper that rivals her <a href="http://www.youandyourwedding.co.uk/dresses-and-style/shoes-and-accessories/hats-off-to-camilla-and-carole/3885.html" target="_self">Jane Corbett masterpiece</a> from 2011.
But if Carole wants to stick to her favoured blue/green colour palette, then this duck-egg <a href="http://www.johncharles.co.uk" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">John Charles</a> outfit could be a more likely choice. <br /><br />READ MORE: <a href="http://www.youandyourwedding.co.uk/dresses-and-style/mother-of-the-bride/22-emotional-mother-of-the-bride-pictures/21705.html" target="_self">22 Emotional Mother Of The Bride Pictures</a>
How stunning would Carole look in this floor length <a href="https://chcarolinaherrera.com/ProductDisplay?storeId=715837909&errorViewName=ProductDisplayErrorView&urlLangId=-1002&productId=3074457345616695020&urlRequestType=Ajax&categoryId=3074457345616687175&langId=-1002&catalogId=3074457345616676668" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Carolina Herrera</a> gown? It's perfect for a mother of the bride who want to look sophisticated without appearing demure, whilst the drape sleeves and belted waist are super flattering on all shapes and sizes.
As Pippa's wedding is a Spring do, we predict that Carole might opt for a bolero instead of a full jacket for the ceremony. Rumour has it that the wedding will be taking place at St Mark's Church near the Middleton's home in Englefield, Berkshire, and we think this lovely lace combo from <a href="http://ispirato.co.uk/collection/iw934-vanilla/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Ispirato</a> would be a perfect pick.
Chiffon capes are growing in popularity for mothers of the bride, and although Carole has chosen more fitted styles in the past, we think she'd look fabulous in this uber-feminine Gina Bacconi ensemble. Teamed with a beautiful <a href="http://www.youandyourwedding.co.uk/dresses-and-style/mother-of-the-bride/the-best-shoes-for-the-mother-of-the-bride/21558.html" target="_self">pair of shoes</a>, it would be a seriously classy style for a wedding where the world is watching.
If Carole decides to go for something totally different to her Royal Wedding ensemble in 2011, then we think something similar to this <a href="http://www.jacques-vert.co.uk/jacques-vert/printed-drape-cape-dress/010044647.html?cgid=jv_dresses&dwvar_010044647_color=0357" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Jacques Vert</a> dress could potentially be on the cards. It's slightly quirkier than her usual style, but we think it would make a fabulous choice for this seasons hottest wedding.
